The Bratwurstpokal is back!
This time it's a mixed tournament and the more inventive you are with your German, the more points you win!
Join us at one of Newcastle University's sports grounds in Longbenton, Newcastle for a thrilling day of sport and language supported by Student Ambassadors and staff from universities.
Each school is invited to bring along a Year 8, 7-a-side football squad. There must always be at least 2 girls, and 2 boys on the pitch for your team at any time. You may be able to bring more than one team, depending on availability.

10.00- 12.00: German language activities
These activities may include a combination of the following for which each team can score points:-
- Design and dress your mascot
- Write and practice a team anthem and motto
- Revise German football vocab
12.00 - 12.45: Lunch
13.00- 14.15: 7-aside football tournament
14.15 - 14.30: Prize giving
14.30: Departures
