This FREE one day course, organised by the ATLAS group at Durham County Council, will take delegates through all aspects of school linking and offer advice for curriculum activities with partner schools.
The day will begin with consideration of the place of global links in the curriculum. Delegates will then follow a school’s
international journey from reflecting on the benefits of establishing links, developing projects and embedding
internationalism across the school for the benefit of the whole school community.
Delegates will be able to reflect on where in the world they would like to develop links and learn about available support;
including partner finding and both national and European Commission funding streams.
The conference will be led by presenters from across the North East region, the European Commission and by pupils from our schools.
The conference is well suited to schools at the early stages in international work. More experienced practitioners will also find the case studies to be inspirational and be able to examine pathways for future development. The event provides an excellent insight into international and global dimensions for school advisers, improvement partners and inspectors.
The programme will draw together best practice examples of the European Union’s Lifelong Learning programme and showcase Comenius and eTwinning projects.
The conference is supported and funded by the European Commission Representation in the UK.
Early application is strongly recommended.
