Routes into Languages SW is delighted to offer secondary schools an exciting opportunity to take part in the new initiative -- Bristol French Drama Festival, which will take place on Saturday 16th March 2013 at the University of the West of England.
Your French assistant can learn to run a theatre club in French for your pupils, culminating with a fun performance for all! Pupils will perform a piece prepared in their drama club and share it with other participants, friends and families!
The training workshop for French assistants will be held on Friday 19th October at the University of the West of England at 1.30 - 4 pm. This will give them the confidence and numerous ideas to develop a drama club in your school. Your assistant and the pupils will then have 5 months to prepare a short piece, which they will perform on stage on Saturday 16th March. (There may be the opportunity for subsequent informal meetings in between.)
Cost: £20 per assistant
Please note that this session is not suitable for teachers of French. The training workshop for French teachers who intend to run drama clubs in schools and take part in the festival in March will be held later on the same day (at 4.30 - 6.30 pm).
