Celebrate Chinese Year of the Rooster with our new competition!
On 28 January this year, Chinese people all over the world will be celebrating New Year and this year it is the year of the Rooster.
The celebrations start the day before New Year and end with the Lantern Festival on the 15th day of the New Year.
We would like your students to join in with the celebrations by designing a game with the theme of Chinese New Year of the Rooster. Students can be as creative as they like using lots of different materials but they must include a ‘Happy New Year’ greeting in Chinese characters somewhere within the game.
The competition is open to all students in years 7 to 9 and there will be a prize of a £20 book token for the winner and £10 book tokens for second and third place.
We hope the students have great fun and look forward to seeing
lots of fantastic games!
Closing date for the competition is Monday 6 February.
