This activity aims to encourage students to take up Spanish (or to continue with the subject) after leaving school or in their first year at University. It involves a group of OU undergraduates who have recently spent a period of study in Santiago de Compostela, Spain, giving an insight into their period abroad experiences and discussing aspects of language and cultural learning in an online forum for a period of one week. Our undergraduates are mature students with experience of work. Therefore, aspects such as “using languages in the work environment”, “the importance of intercultural communication”, will be part of the discussion.
Students can exchange information and ask questions about aspects of Spanish language and cultures.
This event involves a presentation session (4th December 2013) followed by a week's worth of online follow-up activities (4-11th December 2013). Twenty places are available. Please click on the registration link below to sign up.
A cancellation policy applies for this event. If places booked are not cancelled by Wednesday 20th November 2013 or if there are any no-shows on the day, a fee £5 per place booked will be charged.
