An event for Year 9 students to emphasise the importance of languages in the global economy. There will be workshops led by employers (including the Goethe Institut, European Commission and BBC Monitoring) to highlight the varied use of languages and the skills that learning a language has given them. Lunch with student ambassadors will be offered, along with a chance to hear about undergraduates' experiences during their work placements abroad as part of their courses. Also included will be a taster session in commonly taught language.
Please note that places are limited to 10 per school and a booking form will need to be completed.
