Secondary MFL teachers are invited to the University of Brighton to find out more about the Gold Award for Languages – an exciting challenge event offered by Routes into Languages South. In working towards the Gold Award, students take part in three languages-related challenges: a personal challenge; a community challenge; a languages in the workplace challenge. Each of these strands is designed to be as flexible as possible and they also encourage students to think creatively and come up with their own challenge ideas. Those who sign up for the Gold Award will document their progress by completing the European Languages Portfolio. The session will explain how the Gold Award works and will provide examples of challenges already undertaken by students in the region. Schools who sign up to take part in the award will be given the opportunity to send their students to a subsequent training day at the university where they will be able to find out more and discuss their ideas.
This is a free twilight session and will run from 4.00-5.30pm. Please follow the registration link below to book a place or contact Clare Forder at the University of Brighton for more details.
