Are you curious to find out what campus life is like? Do you wonder what it would be like to study a language at university? Why not shadow a current student for a day on campus?
Universities offer degrees in a Modern Language (e.g. French, Italian and Spanish) but also language modules for those who study a language as a minor pathway – or an option module studying a language alongside another subject (e.g. International Relations, or Psychology, or English). Language students therefore have a variety of profiles and there is sure to be someone following a programme which is of interest.
Meet up with a language student ambassador who will lead you round for that day.
You will be buddied with a current student who will take you along to scheduled lectures or seminars and who will show you some key of university resources, such as the Library, the Language Learning Centre and the Students Union. Students don’t usually have timetabled lectures for the full day so you may also get to see halls of residence, places to eat, and the sports centre.
Spring term (February-March-April 2016)
