Competition
Region:

The National Year 7 Spelling Bee is back again this year and we are looking for non-native/non-bilingual, new learners of French, German or Spanish to participate in this exciting competition!

Registration is now open via our dedicated Spelling Bee website: www.flsb.co.uk and once you've signed up, you'll have access to the teachers' pack (which explains the rules of the competition and how it works), along with practice powerpoints so your students can get straight into the spelling buzz!

The first two rounds of the competition (class competition and school competition) take place in your school, whilst the third round (regional final) will be held at the University of Brighton. Students from all over the country will then come together for the national final, which is typically held in July.

This is a wonderful way to engage your students in vocabulary learning, memorisation and pronunciation. It's also a great confidence builder as participants become familiar with new words and sounds.
